Victory!
Taxi plays like a dream now. I had no idea how awesome this game is with the old school flipper springs in there. It was soft and soggy before. Now the flippers fire the ball HARD through both ramp with the slightest of touches to the flipper buttons. The control in the middle is exquisite. I was saving SDTM balls tonight with the tiniest of edge grabs that would never have been executed with the old flipper mechs in there.
If you have a 1980’s machine, be sure and make upgrading the flipper assemblies a top priority. For ~$40 and 4 hours of time, it will feel like you have a new machine. Do it!
Watch the first game after the flippers were installed, the (well-aimed) ramp shots are great!
