The following quality standards are required or nice to have in the collection.
COMPLETE
- Batteries: must be new and free of corrosion, and off the CPU board.
- Flipper Buttons must match factory look and feel, and be cleaned out.
- Flipper Guides: must be new or like-new and feed the ball smoothly to the flippers.
- Fuses: must all be to specification, with 5x spares on hand for each fuse.
- Playfield: must be polished or waxed, and flat and free from all movement-changing defects (raised inserts/mylar imperfections, etc.)
- Power: must have a 3-prong grounded plug with a breaker in front of it to the wall.
- Shooter: must be clean and feel smooth to the touch, and sound clean.
IN PROGRESS
- Display: all four displays should work properly.
- Flippers: must be rebuilt with WPC-era style springs, have new coils and be set perfectly for maximum strength and ideal agility for pro-shots (3 machines to go)
- Bridge Rectifier Fuses: On all <1987 machines safety fuses must be installed in front of the Bridge Rectifiers (0 complete, 4 to go.)
- Ramps and Holes: must be protected from future wear with available protectors (adding Cliffy’s to Black Knight)
- Skill Shots: must be tuned up properly so that they require skill to achieve (Whirlwind should have a Skill Shot tweak to allow for full strength shot OR weaker shot.)
- Sound: all sound systems should sound good — no broken speakers.
- Pops: all pops should be adjusted to make them fire like machine guns.
- Slings: all slings should be adjusted to make them fire asap (but never twice in a row.)
